I mean this and as nicely as I can be, but I truly hope that with everything happening currently- that true kindness, equality, and most of all, lasting change grows up in our past’s place. What I mean by that is,
If you weren’t displaying kindness, equality, or supporting black or any people and businesses of color before now, consider this your long overdue wake up call. But for the love of all things holy, please do not do it on behalf of a trend or because everyone else is currently. You do not appear as a hero or are helpful.
-Lasting growth and change do not come out of reaction or calling attention to ourselves, but instead from the very core of our being knowing what was can never be again and through our actions going forward. Words without action or donations without action mean nothing, and do nothing!
