Stars & Stripes

As I was on my way home the other night, I came across the walking bridge just before my exit that has been there for as long as I can remember. However, unlike any other day there was a man waving an American flag with such a proud and confident persona. Such a small gesture had instantly made an impression on me and I hope I was not alone in this. I realized then, that I am more proud to be an American than ever before. It shouldn't have taken another person, or tragic event, or even a national holiday to remind fellow Americans like myself of just how sweet our freedom is.
